dragon version 8 problems using commands with voice recongnition

can only use the voice recognition once an email is open. Dragon will not
open this program by voice command and none of the commands that Dragon
states you can use will work. Have no problem using Dragon in Word or Excel
just Outlook.

Any suggestions?
