drawing a vertical line

Hi, I'm trying to draw a vertical line in Word and I can get a horizontal
line in autoshapes but it won't let me flip it to vertical. How can I get a
vertical line?

You draw a vertical line by dragging down. If you want to constrain it to
the vertical, you press Shift while dragging. To rotate a horizontal line,
you can drag one of the object handles or change the rotation precisely on
the Size tab of the Format AutoShape dialog.
