Drawing Circles with Text

E

Elton

I need to draw two circles. The first will be 8" in diameter. The Second
will be inside the 8" Circle and needs to be 6" in diameter. After these
circles are in place and centered, I nee to add text in the space between the
two circles. The text needs to follow the curve of the circles. Also, the
text needs to be in eight groups e.g.,

1. Work
Request
Entered

2. Planner
Plans Job

3. Spare
Parts
Staged

etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Elton

This will be very difficult to do in PPT, regardless of which version you're
using. I'd recommend using Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator or the like for
this, then importing the image into PPT. (Save or export it from the drawing
program as a PNG, then Insert | Picture | From File into PPT.)

Here's video tutorial I whipped together to answer your questions. I
apologize that the bottom part of the video seems to be cut off. Just note
that I'm accessing my Drawing Tools (oval) and Alignment Tools (align Left
Align Top).

Hope this *visual* helps.

Ooooh, I'm anxioius to see this, Sandy! I find circular text to be very
tedious in PPT -- I can't ever get the font sizes and angles exactly right.

Anyway, what's the link to your video?

I am such a dork. Thanks Echo, for calling it to my attention that I failed
to provide the link. Please note that this was a quick video to answer the
thread question. I'll do a *nicer" one and load it on my site.

It's a great tutorial, Sandy. Thanks for doing and posting it!

My frustration comes specifically when trying to use words of vastly
different length. I find that the curve ends up different then, and when I
adjust for that, things just get way off. I think I'm probably just not
patient enough.
