I'd used IE as a container to try to raise Visio, but
couldn't get rid of the download message "Some files may
harm your computer, do you want to Open or Save... etc"
When I saw the documentation for Visio 2003, including the
DrawingControl I thought "This is exactly what I need".
Having upgraded to Visio 2003 I'm very disappointed.
The Event Interface to the drawing control is, being
complimentary, skeletal.
My biggest difficulty relates to getting Drawings to
display at a sensible size inside the DrawingControl.
The PageSizingBehaviour Property of this control is only
Yes,No. Even if it's set to "Yes", then the Shapes are not
resized.
It seems to me that there are many variables:
1. The original size of the Visio Window when the drawing
was saved.
2. The PageSize setting within this drawing at this time.
3. The "Zoom" attributes at this time.
4. The size of the MS Container Form.
5. The size/attributes of the DrawingControl within this
form.
I'm not able to find any sensible solution to my display
problem at the moment, so I'll put this message on the
board and go off and work on something else.
I'll be ever so grateful if anyone can give any pointers
as to how I might solve it.
Otherwise if anyone knows of how to get rid of the
unacceptable message "This file might harm your
computer ...." when opening a Visio file in the
WebBrowser, then this would help me equally.
If you do, then you're heroes !
