The first issue can be fixed by Tools>Options>General and
uncheck Automatically create drawing canvass when
inserting autoshapes.
Someone else may be along with help on the second issue.
the "daw your picture here" box keeps getting in the way.
also, at some point of picture detail, i can no longer do
anything. like i draw a circle, the all i get is dots
around the area, no more circle, can't fill wi color,
nothing. driving me crazy.
