Drawing Explorer Window -- two questions.

Hi,

I have two questions, please, regarding the Drawing Explorer Window.

I want to protect a shape from being selected. So I click Protect from
Selection in the Format command.

When I do this, I get the following message: "Shapes protected from
selection can still be selected unless you check Shapes in the Drawing
Explorer Protect Document dialog box."

Now, I know how to have the Drawing Explorer Window show up. But I
can't find a Protect Document dialog box there. Could someone kindly
tell me where that is.

Second question, please.

Within the Drawing Explorer Window, I would like to change the order in
which the shapes are listed. (I have numerous shapes on the page, and I
would like to be able to have them listed in the Drawing Explorer Window
somewhat in the order I see them on the page, from top to bottom.)

But I cannot seem to change the listing order. I have not tested this,
but I get the sense that the shapes are listed in the order in which I
dragged them onto the page. But is it possible to change that order.

Thank you very much.

In the Drawing Explorer window, right click on the very top item,
there is a menu entry Protect Document.

As far as I know that is not possible, the shapes are, as you
discovered, in the order in which they were dropped on the page. The
only other order is the shape z-order which controls which shapes are
in front of others.
