drawing row/column borders over text

I am trying to orient text so that it appears behind the table (that is,
instead of auto-fitting to the row or column, have it extend beyond the
row/column boundaries). I have tried to go to "draw," "order" and "text wrap"
but this is grayed out.

I do not think you can have table text go beyond the table borders. I have
never tried, but it does not sound like the Word developers would have
included something like this!

I guess you are going to have to use two objects, like a table in a textbox
and a textbox for the text...
