drivers for cd writer missing

My HD crashed, operating system was W98 and I loaded W2000 and Office 2000, I
tried loading ADAPT CD Creator software that come with my gateway but it says
the drivers are outdated for system and locks the computer.

You could try asking in a newsgroup related to Windows 2000. However, you
may have to get in touch with the vendor of the software.
