Drop-down form field help text

I cannot make the help text I input for my drop-down form
field to appear when I press F1. It only works for a text
form field.

OK, I finally dug up an installation with Word 2000 on it. It
works here, so it's not a bug in Word...

Are you sure you put the Help text into the Tab for F1, and
not for the Status bar?
