Drop down Form Field Items lists

I have Windows XP with Word 2003. I am creating a treatment plan form and
want to create Drop-down lists (in the drop-down form field options) that
have greater than the default 7-item-max, and I'd like some items to be
longer (in total number of characters) than the default seems to allow. Is
there a way to expand the list-items to include more (in number) and longer
(in total characters allowed) items?

Please see my reply to your previous question wrt the number of list items.
As for the length of the items, you might consider running a macro on exit
to insert a longer text depending on the item chosen. Or perhaps you could
use an AutoTextList field instead; see
