Drop-down list appears on wrong monitor

I have a Excel UserForm with a dropdown list. When the opens excel on e.g.
the second monitor (on a multi-monitor system), and clicks the dropdown
list, the list would be drawn on the first monitor, as if the control does
not recognize the second monitor as valid desktop space.

The control is from Excel 97.

Any hints? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm aware of the potential problems with graphic card settings (have been
annoying me for the past three years). In this case however, I feel
confident to say that the graphic card settings are not to fault.
However, the combo might believe that the primary screen is the only part of
screen real estate the user can see, it it uses certain API calls that
somewhat shifted their meaning between NT4 and W2K, and try to move the list
to the visible screen
The question is: Are there alternative controls that work in Excel 97, 2000
and onwards? Or can this behaviour be overridden?
