Drop Down Lists on selection inserting text

Just a beginner at this, I seek guidance on how to tell create a drop down
list that on selecting the criteria, it inserts associated text, ie, drop
down list consists of different locations, user clicks on location and it
automatically inserts the address details etc.

Help!
