drop down menu calculation

Is there way to have drop down menus calculate based on chosen fields?

I have included an example of the type of calculation I am trying t
do. I need the blue cell to return the commision based on the criteri
selected.

There is so much info, I'm not sure how to do this quickly.

You did not provide the critieria on how the commission is
paid or calculated. You only provided the variables
involved. You need to provide the "if the loan is this
type, in this state, for this amount then the commission
is this percentage"

You answer to what the parameters are may be the answer to
your question.. View the if, sumif, or sumproduct
formulae. One of those may work..

in genral VLOOKUP is probably what you're looking for (see:
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/vlookup.htm)

But one other point regarding your attachment:
- most people won't open them as they could contain macros/virus
- *YOUR* attached file DOES contain macros -> Not a very good idea!

Think that you'll need to make some changes to the
commission grid in order to make it work. Better yet
instead of changing the original tab, copy it (and maybe
call it table). Then you'll need to organize the data in
a single table. You should not have the breaks in the
state. I.E. they should be in one column. Definitely keep
them alpha sorted so you can use the vlookup function.

I'm sure that there is another way, or two, but that's how
I'd do it...
