drop down menu changed

Office X (10.1.4)

In WORD the TOOLS drop-down menu has suddenly changed, e.g. a key
feature I need daily namely "LANGUAGE" has disappeared, SPELLING and
GRAMMAR have changed to 2 options instead of a single one.

Have I accidentally changed something? I hope I don't have to
reinstall the whole Office package. Any thoughts very welcome.

Those menus are all customizable....go into Tools | Customize, highlight the
Menu Bar, and click Reset. This will return the File, etc menus to default,
but if you have made other customizations, you will lose them. To prevent
loss, click on the Commands tab in the dialog, and drag the individual
commands back onto the menu where you want them.

For any problem, there are a number of tricks to try before reinstalling,
don't just leap to that action. File this link for future reference:
