Drop down menu in Office 2007 is not visible

When I click on the round icon in the upper let hand corner of any office
2007 application to save a file, the drop down menu does not display. This
is the menu the would have the New, Open, Save, Save As, Print etc.. Hitting
the F12 key doesn't do anything as well. However, if I take my cursor and
place it where the menu SHOULD be i will get a pop-up showing the particular
options. IE - let's say I place the cursor where I think the "Save As" would
be, if I get it on the spot I will see a pop-up Save As - F12. Unfortunately
hitting F12 doesn't do anything.

Try pressing Alt, F, R, Alt+D and click Continue to run Office
Diagnostics. Or run them from the Microsoft Office Tools menu in Start
Programs.

Thank you for the post, but unfortunately it did not work. Although
diagnostics reported that it fixed one problem the original problem still
exists.

There seems to be little hints in your description that you may have a
video driver issue. Did this problem start recently? If so, perhaps you
recently "updated" the video driver by some automatic update to an
incorrect one? If you go to the Display Adapters in Device Manager you
may elect to "Roll back" to the previous on.
