drop-down menu items don't work in PowerPoint add-in

My PowerPoint Add-in (created in Visual Studio .net C#) installs
correctly on a machine running PowerPoint 2002 and the add-in name
appears on the PowerPoint menu bar. The menu drops down but none of the
individual menu items are accessible. Security was set to Trust all
sources and to Medium level.

Any ideas?
