Drop-Down Menu

Hi

This is my first post and I am very new to Infopath. What I would like
to do is create a drop down list menu with around 5 or 6 list items
within this menu. So for example when a user selects listno2 the form
displays fillable text boxes and possibly other controls ject below
this drop-down menu.

Each list item will have different sections for the user to fill in.
Is all of this possible with Infopath? Any suggestions or how to's
would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi ahastie,

You sad you have different section for each selected list item. So you will
create one Group for each list item in the InfoPath Data Source. In Each of
this groups you will create fields where the user will enter the data. After
that you will add these groups as section in the InfoPath form by drag-drop
and select to Add Section With Controls. After that you can redesign each
section with appropriate controls for the fields and so on.

After that you will implement Conditional Formatting for each added section.
Right-click the section, propertied, display (tab) and Conditional formatting.
Then you will create the condition like if the selected value in the
dropdown (dropdown is bound to so filed, so you will look for the selected
value in the bound filed) is not equal to desired, hide the section. So for
one value you will hide all sections except one that matches the criteria.
