Drop-down menus disappeared

Suddenly I no longer can see the drop-down menus. I click
on the title, e.g., "File," and nothing happens. Does
anyone know the fix for this problem?

Please always state your OS and Office version numbers! I assume you're in
Office 2001? See here:
