drop down menus

I'm using Office 2000 in an XP pro machine. In all office programs the drop
down menus appear slowly and the longer the menu the slower it is. other
programs are OK. Thanks.

Hi Geoffery,

Is the animation setting set to 'none' (or System
Default) in Tools=>Customize Options?

Are your Windows appearance settings set to 'animate' menus?

Either of those can cause the kind of delay you're seeing.

I mean that the menus appear very slowly (in a sort of staggered appearance)
- nothing to do with 'show full menus after a short delay'. I think iti s
probably some type of conflict that is causing this. >>
