Drop Down Select list linked to Database

Ok. Now that I have gotten proper access to the database. And things are
pulling up properly, I decided to try one additional method of accessing
the database.

I would like to make a pull down menu that displays a list of one particular
table. Then when you select the item from that list, it pulls up all data
pertaining to that item from the databse and displays it on a new page.

anyone know how this is down and can point me to someplace to go to look at
some examples of how this is done?
