Drop down selection

I have a drop down with thousands of values and need an easy way for the user
to find the right value (name). It works with the first character, but
subsequent characters won't work to get to the correct value.

Any ideas? I'm NOT versed in code.

Your users should be able to open the drop-down list and then just start
typing and the list will navigate to the first match of those characters the
users types.

If you are only getting the first character, then perhaps it is the
configuration. For Vista/XP and IP07, it works well this way.
