Dropped Attachments

My email problem involves a single client. When I receive an email from
anyone at this client, their email is converted from HTML to rich text, and
any attachment they have sent is deleted. I do not get any message from
outlook that the email has been altered or attachments deleted. Others in our
office receive these same emails and attachments with no issues. They can
then forward them to me with no problems. I do not have this issues on any
other emails. We have verified that the client is not on any blocked sender
list in my machines local email security settings. Any help with how to fix
this will be appreciated. Using Office Small Business Edition 2003 -Outlook
2003 SP3.

Why do you believe the messages are being changed from HTML to Rich Text?
On top of that, since Rich Text is an Outlook-specific format, Outlook can,
of course, handle Rich Text messages with no problems, only non-Outlook
clients have broblems with Rich Text.

Are you scanning incoming mail with an antivirus scanner? If so, uninstall
the antivirus program and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature.

Brian, Thanks for the reply. I misspoke. The email is converted from HTML to
plain text. We have uninstalled and installed the antivirus software several
times with no success.

So, someone sends you somthing they claim is HTML and you receive a Plain
Text message, correct? Have you accidentally set the "Read all standard
mail in plain text" check box on Tools>Options>E=-mail Options? If you
uninstall the AV program and leave it uninstalled while you test, does that
make a difference? Do you have any other add-ins integrated with Outlook?
If you start Outlook in safe mode does it make a difference? If you use a
web interface to access the mailbox and examine the message, is it HTML
there? Describe all the steps you've taken to troubleshoot this issue.
