Dual monitors - desire Slideshow on only one

I have dual monitors and use them in horizontal span. If I have the
Powerpoint application showing in only one monitor and press F5 or
Slide Show > View Show the presentation uses both screens for the
presentation.

How can I get it to use only the monitor that the application is using.

You need to setup your video card to have an extended desktop. This is where
each monitor act as a single large monitor. Go to START >> CONTROL PANEL >>
DISPLAYS >> SETTINGS tab and find options there. Then in PowerPoint go to
SLIDE SHOW >> SET UP SHOW >> and change the drop-down from Primary Monitor
to SECONDARY MONITOR.
