dueling add-ins

H

Harlett O'Dowd

Having a problem with multiple machines where two add-ins-for-Outllook
have been installed. In this case, Live Meeting 2007 scheduler and
Zimbra.

Zimbra works fine, but once it has been loaded, LM scheduler quits
working.

Anyone else ever come across a case where one Outlook add-in tramples
over the other? Can Outlook even handle two add-ins?

Many thanks!

How the addin works is the responsibility of the add-in supplier, a third
party company
Outlook can handle multiple add-ins, provided they are coded correctly

You might want to ask in the program_vba group - the developers that hang
out there may have some insight. They wont be able to fix it - you'll need
to get fixes from vendors - but they would be most likely people to have
seen this type of behavior.

Multiple calendar addins can co-exist nicely if they don't insist on
changing the default appointment form. I've written a bunch that can all
work together.

If 2 addins don't co-exist nicely it's either that or badly coded addins,
something I see all the time, even from well known companies.
