Dumb Newbie Question...

I have address data in a text file in the format below:

SMITH JOHN JR/SUSAN
920 E TURKEY LANE
NOPLACE, NOWHERE 00234

JONES EDMUND J/SUSAN A
910 E TURKEY LANE
NOPLACE, NOWHERE 00234

DAVIS RICHARD A/SUSAN M
902 E TURKEY LANE
NOPLACE, NOWHERE 00234

|

Word balks at excepting this as "Data". And I'm too dumb to figure
out what I need to do to get it into a form where I can make labels.

What do I need to do?

Thanks!

Jim,

Not dumb at all.

Basically you have to convert your data (yes, it is data)
into a data source that Word can used for a mail merge.

Type Data Source in Words Help to find the different types
of files that you can use for a data source. You have
the information you need and now need to put it in an
appropriate format

See:

for tips with formatting your data

Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four?
