dumb question on Footers

D

Duncan McC

OK, I make a footer reference, it jumps to the footer area and
I type in <whatever>

What keystroke / keystroke combination, gets me back to the
body text where I inserted the footer reference (I WANNA GET
BACK WHERE I WAS WITHOUT USING DA MOUSE! :)

I assume you're referring to a footnote? Try Alt+Shift+C.

Hi, Duncan,

Shift+F5 (the GoBack command), possibly repeated once or twice, will work
unless you've made multiple edits in other places since inserting the
footnote.

Hi, Suzanne,

I'm not seeing that at all, in either Word 2000 or 2003. It also doesn't
depend on whether the document is in Print Layout or Normal view. With two
documents open, Shift+F5 takes me from the footnote body to the footnote
marker and then to the second document, or some other order depending on how
the edits were done.

Is this something else they broke in 2002 and then fixed?

Quite possibly!
