I tried to create the list number dummy style that Dave Rabo explained
in the 2001-06-01 MailMerge & Automatic Numbering article, but it is
not working correctly for me. I am using Word in Mac OS X to create
longer (200 word) technical documents. I created the list level 1
exactly how he described, then I created the next three levels
continuing in the outline format. I changed the font for each of
these lower levels to match the body text style, size, color, etc, but
after the initial outline level number after each return, the text
reverts to the 1pt, white font of level 1. Do you know why this is
happening? Below are his instructions.
Thank you,
Laura
List level 1 - uses a dummy style which I call "List Number 0",
defined with
no numbering, 1 point, Keep with Next, white font, single line
spacing, no
space before or after.
My "List Number" style is at List Level 2 instead of List Level 1, so
the
numbering automatically restarts if a List Number para is preceded by
a List
Number 0 paragraph.
