Duplicate code

I noticed a couple of days ago that there was duplicate link columns on some
of my pages. Tonight when I went to upload changes to the site, my Index,
Contact, & For Sale & Wanted pages went away and all that shows up is
repeating code for the links on the side. The contact page and for sale and
wanted have been unlinked, but my homepage is a disaster. How do I fix this
& what caused it? There were a couple of other questions on here about it,
but no real answers given. There has been nothing changed to the site and it
has been operating on this computer since July with no problems. Someone
please help!!!!!!!!!! This is our business sight and it being screwed up is
not a good thing! Thanks!!!!
*I am not a computer genius, but I can get around the program if you can
explain things step by step and where things are located at that I should
check*

For starters:
switch to code view.
<body bgcolor="#C0C0C0"><!--msnavigation--><table dir="ltr" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"

The <html> tag needs to be moved above the head tag near the top of the page.
The ,body> tag is duplicate, remove it.
and at the very bottom there is no closing </body> or </html> tags.

add them, in that order.

Why would my code change all of a sudden? I never mess with the code on the
site (did some of that in college and haven't done it since!). I just
realized that I lost my "links" page too which is VERY aggravating because it
had A LOT of information on it that I will now have to find time to redo. I
have tried switching the code so I will see what that does. Thanks.

That is how the webpage is supposed to look and it has looked that way until
last night when whatever happened and took out the index, contact, links, &
for sale/wanted page.

Ok, I got the Links page, the For Sale/Wanted Page, & the Contact page to all
come up and not be repeating Nav. bars. However, the Links page came up with
a double navigation bar (this is how the problem started in the first place!)
So, how do I make it go away and keep it from happening again? Thanks!
