Duplicate contacts folders

Mitchell

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to rebuild the contacts folders
lists? A couple of users, when clicking "To..." in a new
email message then clicking "Contacts" get a blank list.
If i then right-click the Contacts icon on Outlook
Shortcut Bar and select "Show this folder as an Outlook
address book" you then get the choice of 2 Contacts
folders, 1 is blank, the 2nd is correct. Also, some
users, when they click "To..." get the error "Can't
contact LDAP Directory Server (81)" and it appears to be
trying to open a contacts folder that does not exist.

Is it possible to delete unwanted folders from the "To..."
folder list?

Thanks in advance,
Mitchell

Yes, but you didn't post your Outlook version.

In many, you just remove the duplicate listing here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
While you're there, remove the LDAP from those users getting the prompt,
unless you imagine you are actually using an LDAP.
