Duplicate Contacts

I've recently converted Outlook from a ME machine to XP -
Home addition. God what a pain. And have successfully
gotten my Palm Pilot to hotsync with outlook (another
pain).

When I hotsync'd, My contacts duplicated. So I've
manually removed the dups. I also have Categories
selected for each contact (both Palm and Outlook have the
same categories). When I send an e-mail, and I choose a
Category to send to (e.g. Salepersons), each contact is
duplicated. But if I look at the contacts or the
subcategory, I only see 1 name.

Why is this? how can i fix it?
