Duplicate contacts

I recently upgrdesd my PC to a new Dell. My contacts were ok until my secretary was given access to view them. Then, I got two sets of contacts. Please tell me how to delete one file and which one is the updated one as she has entered information into one and I have entered info into the other....I hope you come up with magical ideas!
