Duplicate contacts

Hi,

We have updated from outlook 2000 to outlook 2003.
We are using an exchange/public folder with contacts. We
copied the contacts to the personal contact folder every
month. (in the outlook 200o version the program
asked "add information to existing or crate new contacts).

In outlook 2003 We don't get a warning and we have
duplicate contacts in the personal contact folder.

tools --> option --> contact options --> check for
duplicate items is marked.

Are we doing something wrong or is this a bug in 2003?
