duplicate database

Helen

I am trying to copy a database to another with a different
name, don't want data just tables, query, indexes, and
forms, and macro's. Will not allow me to open 2 copies of
access on same machine to copy and paste. Any solution to
not having to recreate.
Thanks

Helen,

A couple of suggestions.

1) Create a new database with the name that you want and
then go to File/GetExternalData/Import and steer the browse
box to your original db. In the next window you will want to
go to Options and tell it to just import the structure and
not the data. Do a select all on all of your tables,
queries, forms, etc... and you will have a new blank
database ready to go.

2) Copy the database file in Windows Explorer and then paste
and rename it to what you want. You can now go through all
your tables and delete all records.
