duplicate download of mails from POP with different aliases

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Email Client: pop I am using Entourage 2008 since a few days now. I have a POP mail account with 3 aliases. Each time I now receive an email for one of the 3 aliases I get the message downloaded 3 times in my inbox.
1. What can I do to make that I only get the message once?
2. How can I get to see the mail address of the alias the mail was sent to? Which Inbox column should show this information?
I hope this annoying problem can be solved.
Thanks in advance!

How have you set up your aliases? Did you do this on your server or did
you do something in Entourage?

Have you created an account for each alias? If so, you can edit two of
them and UNcheck the top checkbox under Account Settings to not be
included in the scheduled Send/Receive.

To find the address, you can enable the Account column.

Hope this helps!

Hi Bill,
Thanks already for the tip of unchecking the schedule send/receive. I now indeed get the mails for all the aliases but only get them once.
Regarding the visibility of the alias the mail was sent to :
1) column To only shows my name (with which I was registered at the POP service provider
2) column Account now always reflects the account name of the alias for which I left the schedule send/receive flag checked - and you have to check at least one to get your mails downloaded.
So it seems that I cannot make entourage show me in one of the columns to which alias the message was effectively sent. Only when effectively opening the mail the alias mail address is shown after the 'primary' account name in the 'To' section.
Unless you have other suggestions.
regards - Werner
