Duplicate emails

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I had no problem with my emails and then one day...all of a sudden every email I get is duplicate..two with every email...how do I stop this?

I have exactly the same problem from the first days on Mac OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) - Entourage 2008. Did you manage to find a solution in the meantime please? Thanks
