Duplicate entries in TOC for Word 2002

I have four Word documents that have progressed through
numerous past versions of Word without any problems.

Opening them in Word 2002 and generating a TOC produces
some duplicate entries for Heading 2s. There seems to be
no pattern as to which entries get duplicated.

Anyone else had this problem?
