Duplicate Half Sheet Reports On Other Half Of Sheet

Hi,

I am new to posting anything to the group but have often read and found
things very useful.

I have a report that prints on half of an 8.5x11 sheet in landscape. I am
looking for a way for that report to print the second record on the other
half of the sheet if there is another record but still only print the single
half if there is only the one record to print. Can this be done? Thanks for
your help.

Open your report in design mode.
Set: Report Width equal to 11" minus width of the two borders minus 0.3 inches.
At the top of the report design mode window, click on File, Page Setup.
In the page setup window, click on the 'colmns' tab. Set Nimber of Columns to
2. Set row spacing to 0. Set Column Spacing to 0.25". In Column Size, check
'Same as Detail'. In Column Layout, check 'Accross then Down'

Just wanted to say it worked like a charm. For anybody else trying to do
this, it is best to use a column spacing equal to double your side margin.

What are you doing with the printed reports?

Chuck,

The reports are normally a half sheet that goes on the top of an order as it
moves through its filling process. The is no desire to change that aspect of
things but once the reports were being generated electronically we then
wanted to be able to batch print them but I wanted to save a little paper
and it looked silly to have six full sheets come out only to be cut in half
and have the other halves tossed in the trash. This way it allowed for only
three pages to be printed. At the end of the process the sheet gets tossed
in the recycling bin. Thanks again for all of your help.
