Duplicate instances of outlook

I have just reconfigured my PC
XP with Office 2003
When I start Outlook I get 2 instances, they exist separately, I can cancel
one instance and the other runs fine.
What is causing this?

Don't know; what did you reconfigure?
Faulty addins are the most likely cause of this. Which do you have
installed?
