Duplicate Messages Redux

OK, I have seen hundreds of posts about this and still have not been able to
resolve my problem.

My problem is that Outlook 2003 downloads all messages again every time it
is restarted.

I am running Outlook 2003 SP2 on Win XP Pro SP2 on a dual Xeon 2.4 Ghz with
1 Gig of RAM.

I have Cloudmark 4.5 and also NoMoreDupes 1.4.3

I used to have AVG Antivirus enabled to scan my email, but disabled that and
am still having the problem.

I absolutely have to leave the messages on the server so that I may also
download them at work. (with OE, where I never get duplicates)

I have 14 POP 3 email accounts on 7 different servers. They all repeat.

Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks,

Kirk

Have you tried removing all email from the server to see if the issue
repeats?
If that doesn't help I'd look at disabling everything to do with email that
isn't Outlook. Cloudmark would be my first choice. It might have an issue
with mail left on the server. remove all email from the server before you
test any changes.

Bill,

By remove all email, do you mean that I should change the settings and
uncheck the "leave copy on server"? Or do you mean that I should log in
with webmail and take all the messages off? Is it important to get every
account emptied simultaneously? That might be impossible.

Of course the people at Cloudmark tell me that their program isn't causing
my problem. :)

Thanks,

Via Webmai., another email application or a new Outlook profile. Try it out
first with just one account.

Bill,

No Joy,

I even created a brand new email address and sent it an email. I received
the mail, then restarted Outlook. Bingo, repeat.

I have no clue why this has to be so difficult. OE never duplicates, but a
program that is supposed to be better and I had to pay for is driving me
crazy.

I suspect its an add-in that is causing the issue.

Bill,

I uninstalled Cloudmark and restarted before doing the test.

The only other add in was added after the problems started and it was No
More Dupes, I had to buy that add in to get rid of the duplicates. NO other
add-ins are there.

Is there a way to do a complete clean reinstall of Outlook, then import my
old messages and rules? I can recreate the account setting easily enough,
although it would take some time.

Thanks,

I'd try a new profile first - create via the Mail icon in Control Panel.
Start Outlook with that profile and leave it mostly blank and with maybe
just one account. If it solves the issue then you can open your old PST,
copy old data over and add the rest of the accounts. Rules will need to be
recreated.

Not too convenient. I have 54 rules. That will take days to recreate.

I think I am going to have to dump it. I am getting sick of messing with
it.

I quit, I give up.

Yesterday, I downloaded Outlook 2007 Beta and guess what. It duplicates
messages too. Is is even slower than Outlook. So, I decided to quit.

I imported my Outlook store into OE and it doesn't duplicate. It is faster
and I really don't need all the bloated features that Outlook had anyways.
It will take me a couple of days to get all the filters set up and the
duplicates deleted, but I think I am going to stay with OE for a while.
