Duplicate Personal Folder

W

Walt Brothers

I know this has been addressed before, but I can no longer find the complete
thread.

I have somehow been blessed with 2 personal folders in my navigation pane.
Instead of saying "blessed", I probably should say cursed as I can't figure
out how to get rid of one of them. They're both exactly the same. The option
to "close personal folders" is grayed out so I can't close it. I have tried
to rename one of them by selecting "properties" then "advanced" but I get
and error when I click on the advanced button. The error is "The operation
failed. An object couldn't not be found".

Can anybody help me or point me in the right direction to find a solution
for my dilemma?

Thanks

I knew someone would say that. I guess I was hoping there would be another
fix as I have got a "ton" of stuff saved in several folders under the Inbox
that I CANNOT loose. If I create a new profile, how do I get all my saved
stuff back?

Thanks

You mean the current .PST file? Isn't that what's corrupt?

No, your PROFILE is corrupt, not your .pst

Thanks Milly,

I now have a new profile and all my saved "stuff". Nothing lost except the
extra set of personal folders. Now, can I delete the corrupt Default
profile?

Sure you can but I never bother.
