Duplicate Personal Folders

Hi, I have just recovered from a hdd failure and have reinstalled everything.
I found backed-up copies of Outlook.pst & Archive/pst and pasted them over
the new files that were created on reinstalling. Now it shows a duplicate
copy of Personal Folders in the left pane and I am unable to remove either.
Can anyone help please?

Why would you ever do that?
Read the multitude of posts in these groups, in the KB or in the Help files
that tell you how to migrate Outlook data. Overwriting PST files is
guaranteed to corrupt an Outlook profile, which is what you have done.
