Duplicate Postings / Discussion Group Problems?

I've noticed.... was going to say something but wasn't sure if it was a
'normal surge' that comes up now and then.

I go direct to that website to post/read, which is actually kind of a pain
(the site itself), but I haven't noticed any of mine being double posted (I
always ctrl+c everything before I hit Post because I do get error sometimes
and hate retyping everything). I haven't noticed any more errors that usual
lately, or postings that went through AND given me an error...

So I don't know. It seems a lot of people are re-typing thier messages
though (its not usually an exact duplicate), but like I said, mine don't
seem to be double-posting even when I do get an error.

Odd...

My thing is that when I've been getting the error message I go back (thx
Firefox) copy the text and reply a 2nd time since it appears that its not
posting.

Has anyone else noticed that there's a plethora of duplicate postings? For a
couple of days now, when I've replied to a post, I've gotten an 'Error'
message and reposted thinking that the original didn't post. I'm thinking
that there's something funky going on.

I post via http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/FlyoutOverview.mspx

There is indeed a problem, for people posting through the Microsoft webpage
interface (of which your link is one of several). Microsoft is looking into
the problem, but it's driving all of us crazy!

Just FWIW, most of the MVPs and other regular posters avoid the slow, buggy,
clumsy webpage interface entirely and instead use a Newsreader pointing to
msnews.microsoft.com as the news server. Outlook Express, Windows [Live] Mail,
Agent, XNews and lots of other programs provide a tried-and-true interface to
exactly the same message store, without the painful problems experienced by
the web interface.
