Duplicate Reports

I have looked through many messages with the same subject, and can't seem to
find the right answer...

I am working on a report with several summary sub-reports, all based on their
own queries. The report in design view fills about one page without spilling
over. The report with data in it is about 7 pages long.

When I place everything in the header, it prints out only one page.

When I place everything in the details section, all of my information is
there, but it duplicates the entire report several times and it turns out to
be 246 pages long.

It sounds like you have too much detail in the main report's record source.
For instance if a subreport contained OrderDetail records then you would not
want the OrderDetails table in the record source of the main report.
