Duplicate sections are appearing in my Personal Folders

Everytime I open my "personal information" section in my Personal Notebook,
ON creates a duplicate section. I must have several dozen sections with the
same name. When I roll the mouse pointer over the section name, I see
something like (On 2-7-09).one (2-8-08). I don't see a similar problem noted
in this discussion group.

I'm using Office Home and Student 2007 on a Dell 8200 running XP Pro, SP2.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you using any folder synchronization technologies (foldershare,
windows offline files, etc?) to access your notebook from multiple
computers? If so, editing the file on multiple computers could produce
duplication like what you're seeing.

If not, could you go to Tools->Options->Save and check what the backup
path is set to? Then hover over the notebook icon on the navigation bar
on the left and check whether the notebook path is set to be within the
backup folder.
