Duplicate Template Files

We point to specific templates in Word, which are stored
on a server. Lately we've noticed that when we click File
| New and click the tab of a specific folder containing
template files those files are listed more than once. The
folder itself, when viewed through Windows Explorer or by
clicking File | Open in Word, are listed as one of each.
Help!

Which version of Word are you using? Have you duplicated the names of the
built-in templates that are installed with Word? For versions after Word 98
those templates are actually stored in a different location than the user
templates folder and if you store your own versions you'll get duplicate
names.
