Duplicating a Text Box

B

Hi,

I have been using Word for years and I used to depend on the ability to
duplicate a text box by selecting the border and pressing command-D. I
would get a an immediate text box that I could then move to another
place and so on.

Now, when I "command-D" on a text box border, all I get is a formatting
window that pops up.

What's up?

I have the teacher/student edition of MS Office for Mac 2004.

Hello-

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, but wanted to get home to my Mac so I could
confirm, but in 2004, Cmd+D _does_ trigger the Duplicate command. You must
make sure you have the Text Box selected _without_ an insertion point in it,
otherwise it brings up the Format Font dialog box, as you describe.
