I need to refresh our test environment from our Production environment.

This is the procedure I've developed to do this. Does anyone with
more experience than I know of any other steps that should be taken?

1. check that all software instances are on the same version
2. DBA backs up the Test and Prod DBs.
3. DBA restores the Prod DB to Test DB.
4. Use EditSite Utility to change 2 login IDs to match production
logons for the DB and sharepoint.
5. On the http://TestServer/Admin/Sec_Organization.asp page,
check the server intranet address a the bottom of the page.
http://TestServer
6. On http://TestServer/Admin/StsAdMod.asp?_oid=-1 page,
set SharePoint Central Administration URL: to http://TestServer:9999
and
set "create a site under Sharepoint URL" to
http://TestServer:80/sites and
click on "TEST URL" to view the Sharepoint Central Admin.
7 Verify setting on the site provision settings page.
Defaultstssettings.asp
8. In Sharepoint Central Admin, http://TestServer:9999/ ,
In the Set Config DB page, remove the DB Server "ProdDBserver" and
SQL Server Database name is "ProdDB" and add "TestDBServer" and
"TestDB".

TIA,

Neal
