duration change after entering OT values

Hi All,

Why after i enter values in OT Field, duration will change it?
for example...
Task A have 1day duration, then i enter values in OT field for 4
hours..after that duration will change into 0.5 day...

Also If i enter values actual work for example 4hrs...then actual overtime
work will automatically fill become 2hrs...

need your explanation

That's the normal behavior of MS Project:
You set a Duration and a Work (regular time) value. Then when you enter an
Overtime Work value, MS Project decreases the regular work value, and so
decreases the Duration.
When you enter any progress (on regular Actual Work for ex) MS Project
spread this progress the same way (same % if linear) on the Actual OT Work.
