Duration dates change when e-mailing to coworkers

When I e-mail my proj. plan to my coworkers and we look at simultaneously,
their version shows different duration amounts. I verified we were using
same version, reinstalled MS Project and also look out add-ins from a
training course. Any ideas why this would happen? Could I have a default
setting established (or maybe they do)?
thanks.

This often happens if the settings on Tools, Options, Calendar, Hours per
Day are different in the two computers. Choose a date format in the Tools
Options View menu that lets you see both date and time and then look at the
task list to see when tasks start and finish and see if they are the same or
are different between the two computers. If they're the same, then the
hours per day setting is probably the culprit. For example, if a task
begins at 8am and finishes at 5pm on Monday, it will have 1 day duration if
Hrs/Day is set to 8 but 1.12 days if Hrs/Day is set to 7. If they're
different, then something else is going on and we can help you look farther.

I checked and both our settings seem the same on the view and calendar
sections of the options page. I really think it's some sort of setting
problem, but I left everything default and am sure my coworker did as well
(since it's the first time using Project). Any other suggestions?

Can you give some more specific information - like what are the start and
ends dates and times of representative tasks in question and what is the
duration showing on each computer? What do the calendars have as the work
hours settings? Is automatic recalculation turned on (Tools, Options,
Calculation) with each computer?
