Duration Dates on Completed Tasks Keep Changing

Chris

I have a project that I am currently tracking using Project 2003. However, when I do my leveling it is changing the duration dates of the completed tasks from i.e. 021104 to 021304 for both the start and the finish dates. The completed percentage is 100%; how do I lock these dates into Project so that it does not change the dates when I level for the tasks that are not completed?

Hello Chris,

Something strange : when a task is completed, the levelling can't move it,
so its Start and Finish dates can't change !

Hi,

Gerard is correct, Project doesn't move actual dates when levelling. Can you
double-click on the date column headers and let us know what the field name
is for both of them?

Those are the dates that are changing, would it be setting or something
that I need to change?

Chris,

The dates of completed tasks can't move because of a levelling. There is
*no* parameter for that.

Hi Chris
Do not use SF or FF links.
Some of these links may push teh end of a task around.
FNET constraints may have similar effects but they aren't modified by
Leveling

Are you posting the start and finish in the Actual Start and Actual Finish
fields or are you editing the Start and Finish fields to put in the actual
dates that were worked??
